Welcome to the Hive Entrepreneur Retreat
Over 150 CEOs and Founders from 26 countries will be joining us for the first-ever Hive Entrepreneur retreat March 22-25, 2018 at 1440 Multiversity in Scotts Valley, CA.
We will be spending three days together building deep authentic bonds, relaxing, connecting with leaders from all over the world, and focusing on the knowledge needed to accelerate the growth of our companies in 2018. Consider the retreat an opportunity for an “upgrade” of yourself as an entrepreneur and company leader.
The retreat will be held at a beautiful, brand new, and very special venue in the midst of the redwood forests of California called 1440 Multiversity.
800 Bethany Drive
Scotts Valley, CA 95066
We recommend checking-in between 2pm and 4pm on the arrival day (Thursday). The Hive registration desk will be in the main arrivals lodge next to the front desk. The Hive Entrepreneur Retreat will begin at 4:30pm on March 22 with a trail hike and venue tour, followed by dinner at 6pm and an opening session at 7:30pm. What should I wear? What will the weather be like?
Temperatures in Scotts Valley are expected to be between 50 and 70 degrees F (10 to 20 C). Keep attire casual and relaxed and wear whatever is most comfortable for you. Bring a jacket or a sweater for the evenings in case the room is a bit chilly during the days. Also bring a swimsuit for the infinity hot tub at the Healing Arts Center. Clothing that allows for brief stretching and some light movement activities (like qi gong and tai chi) is recommended. There’s no need to bring any formal attire as business attire is not required for the retreat.
Is there Wifi and Cell Service at the Retreat Center?
Yes there is wifi and cell service at the retreat center, however we encourage you to let your colleagues and family know you’ll be at a retreat and that you may not be able to reply right away to incoming messages over the weekend, so that you can have some spaciousness to disconnect from the digital world and focus in on learning and connection.
Can I book a massage at the Healing Arts Center?
Yes. Please call 1-844-544-1440, ext. 304 to book an appointment or stop by when you are on-site. You can view the Healing Arts Center offerings here. Steam rooms and Infinity Hot Tub access is available free of charge and included in your stay.
You can book your hotel room here. We have just a few room types still available.
What do I need to bring?
There’s nothing you need to bring other than yourself and comfortable attire. We’ll be providing you with notebooks and Hive water bottles.
How should I prepare myself for the Hive Entrepreneur Retreat?
Hive allows for authentic open connecting and facilitates the creation of deep vulnerable bonds that allow for lifelong relationships. You can be yourself at Hive, and not worry about networking or being your work identity. You can relax knowing everyone who is coming is also a CEO/founder and knows how stressful and hard it can be at times.
We encourage you to bring your open, authentic and compassionate selves. It is worthwhile to reflect on what you’re most passionate about, what change you want to make in the world, and why you feel you’re alive on this planet. We recommend spending time in advance reflecting on the answers to these questions.
1. What is my purpose/calling/mission for the next few years?
2. What am I alive to do? What do I want to leave behind when I die?
3. How does my current company align with my purpose and my legacy?
4. What are the goals for my company for 2018 and 2019?
Transportation
We recommend flying in the San Jose International Airport (26 miles away) or the San Francisco International Airport (61 miles away). We recommend taking an Uber or Lyft, which are about $37 each way from San Jose Airport. If you have a car, on-site parking is available at 1440 Multiversity at no added cost. Uber: $15 discount for 1440 guests, use code: vl1wu Lyft: $10 discount for 1440 guests, use code: ride1440. We’ve set up a carpooling spreadsheet here for those interested in sharing a ride.
